My Sock Monkey Projects

First-graders at Hemlock School recently visited the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Carle Place. At the invitation of Community Relations Manager, Kathryn Raskopf, the students were given the unique opportunity to meet with authors Amy Schwartz and Leonard Marcus.

Ms. Schwartz and Mr. Marcus co-authored their first book together. "Oscar - The Big Adventure of a Little Sock Monkey," which they read to students. A lively discussion followed the reading. First-graders were introduced to the possibility of careers in professional writing and book illustrating, and were entertained by this delightful husband/wife team.

To thank the children for their obvious interest and joy, Ms. Schwartz and Mr. Marcus autographed a copy of their new publication to be kept in the Hemlock School library.

そして、サイン入りの本を子供達にプレゼントしたみたい。

ソックモンキー出てくるあたりがアメリカらしいですね！
私も読んでみたい♪英語の勉強になるかしら。。
